This one ain't messing around.
This is our hero, looking a little different than he did on the title screen.
During a mission of peace, you are attacked and captured by the alien ambassadors.
It says 'You begin to recover from your surprise attack and find you are in an alien test laboratory', in case you were wondering.
Hey, it's Kano from the Mortal Kombat games! And the metal part of his face is on the opposite side to how it was on the title screen.
Using his morphing powers our hero turns into gray metallic slime.
And then he gloops off into a vent.
You can actually pause these cutscenes, or turn them all off entirely in the options. Which is a fantastic feature and worthy of praise.
And then this is the game. You can jump and and shoot, if you really want to. It's not going to be a fantastic experience for you if you do though.
You can morph into your metal form at will, giving you the advantage of not looking like Kano from Mortal Kombat for a while.
You can also use your metal form to go down these tiny pipes. Though where they'll take you is a mystery. It's not like in the Sonic platformers, where if you go down a tube you can be reasonably certain it'll take you closer to the finish line.
This weapon pick-up is awesome though, homing bullets. Wherever the enemies are, these things will go for them. Look at that dude down there getting torn apart. I was just firing sideways.
Finally we reach our ship and escape! Well it was a short game but that was for the best.
And we fly our spaceship home.
Oh, wait, no, it's just turned into a shitty shoot 'em up which lasts way longer than my interest in playing it.
And then the next level... is another crappy shoot 'em up level. For all I know it could be all shoot 'em up levels from here on in. It almost makes me miss the platformer stage.
This game has only two redeeming features:
#1: The homing gun.
#2: Okay, I was joking about there being two.
Next game!
