Oh wow. There is no way this is going to live up to that title. It'll be like Ninja Golf all over again.
I'm not really a fan of those trees. The textures are obviously repeated, and that thin tree on the left doesn't even seem to be connected to it's own trunk.
Hyper Golf Club, wow. That desk doesn't look very hyper though. Or that plant. Needs more gears and blinking lights.
It wants me to enter my name and MONTH? Well, fine, okay...
Hey it's a robot, and he's playing golf. This is all kind of a let down really.
Wait, that was the computer player? I'm playing as THIS GUY? That is the final straw, I am leaving. Good day sir!
Next game.
Maybe you should give this another chance. Because of licensing issues, when they released this game in the U.S., they replaced the Japanese named player with a robot. This is actually just a regular golf game and has nothing to do with futuristic sports.
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing. They could have gotten away with just changing his face, but they went that extra mile. Not even the fact that the game is clearly a down to earth realistic golf game in every other regard could dissuade them from sticking their robot into it.
DeleteHonestly though if it was just a typical golf game I wouldn't have even given it a look, simply because they don't tend to look that interesting and I'd have absolutely nothing to say about it. I just thought it'd be funny to show how much of a let down this would be if you were expecting something futuristic and different.
Toho, a studio known by Westerners for giant monsters, makes a realistic golf game with a robot to lure us in?
