Shadow of the Beast (Amiga)

As requested/suggested, I'm finally playing Shadow of the Beast. Or just 'Beast' according to the title screen.

This seems to have been released for almost every game system at the time, (except for the SNES and PC surprisingly). But I'll be playing the original Amiga version, seeing as it was an important game for the machine.

Rogue Trip: Vacation 2012 (PSX)

Happy New Year, and welcome to the first Super Adventure in Gaming of 2012!

I decided that my New Year's resolution for the site this year should be to put more effort and care into my writing, and to make a more insightful and interesting analysis of the games I play. To be more thoughtful and balanced with my criticism, and to select only the most fascinating, unusual, and beautiful video games to share screenshots from.

But then I got sick with this bloody cold. So fuck it, I'm going to put in a crap playstation game for an hour, rant about how it pissed me off, and then I'm crawling back into bed.

It's clever because 'Rogue Trip' kind of sounds like 'Road Trip'. Also it's set in 2012, wow that's this year!

I feel like I should be guessing what other game logos they took the letters from though. Well the 'G' could be from Goldeneye 007...

Super AiG Screenshots of the Year: 2011

No new game today, instead I thought I'd use New Year's Eve as an excuse to be lazy and post a few old screenshots from some of the games I've played this year. I've chosen the ones that caught my attention or stuck in my mind; the good, the bad and the ugly. Mostly the bad and the ugly. It's like a Super Adventures in Gaming clip show!

By the way every time you see a highlighted game title, it's a link to the original post. It's not going to take you off to MobyGames or something. Not that there's anything wrong with MobyGames.

Bio-Hazard Battle (Genesis/Mega Drive)

A purple outline for the text, that's... an interesting choice. I guess the thing in the background is one of those bio-hazards that I'll be battling then.

Metroid II: Return of Samus (GB)

For some reason I always assumed Metroid 2 was a NES game like Zelda 2 or Castlevania 2. But no, the franchise jumped to the Game Boy for one game, so I'm stuck showing black and white screenshots again. Sorry.
