That's kind of a bland title screen, but it does get the job done I suppose. It's got the correct logo and the title, plus some helpful copyright info. It doesn't need 'Press Start' because it goes straight to the game by itself.

Ninja Gaiden (NES)
Guest poster ZXLink has already written a lot about the sequel Ninja Gaiden II for Super Adventures, but this is my first look at any of the original 2D Ninja Gaiden games.
Weirdly the game isn't even called Ninja Gaiden in Japan, it's called Ninja Ryūkenden (Legend of the Ninja Dragon Sword). Maybe when they brought it over they liked the idea of a Japanese sounding title, but wanted something catchier that English speaking gamers could remember.
On the other hand Europe got stuck with the name Shadow Warriors, which is just boring.

Tenchu: Stealth Assassins (PSX) - Guest Post
ZXLink brings his ninja skills to the PlayStation to take on a 3d stealth action pioneer.
Time to continue the ninja action! This time around we've got Tenchu: Stealth Assassins for PS1. It's a stealth action title, and it preceeded Metal Gear Solid by a good 7 months in Japan. I've seen it referred to as a "ninja simulator", which may or may not be an apt description. Let's find out!

Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos (NES) - Guest Post
Tired of my shallow bite-sized posts, looking for something more substantial? Guest poster ZXLink takes a long look at NES classic Ninja Gaiden II, a.k.a. Shadow Warriors II.
Ninja Gaiden II for Xbox 360
Nah, the old one on the NES. Released in 1990, it takes place a year after the events of the first game. There's a nice cutscene before the title showing some mysterious dude with a badass looking cape that has some nice scrolling and lightning effects, at least for the NES.
