Heart of Darkness (PSX) - Guest Post

Here's a requested game! A game "from the creators of Another World". Ulp.

That's an expensive looking logo. This is expensive sounding music. This may be the most intense game yet.

Lots of animations today! Keep an eye out!

Flashback (Amiga)

Today's game is classic multiplatform platformer Flashback. This is one I've definitely played a few times before, but it's been a long while since I last loaded up. Plus I never could get anywhere in the game, so maybe this time I'll see something new.

I'll mostly be looking at the Amiga version as I believe it was the first one released and I'm an obsessed Amiga fan. Plus it's got the best title screen! I don't exactly know what I'm looking at here (an ice sculpture of a concerned owl observing the devastation from an orbital laser strike perhaps), but it certainly looks exciting.

Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame (MS-DOS)

It might seem like a strange choice for me to go straight into playing Prince of Persia 2 right after getting sick of the first game, but I am suddenly filled with an irresistible and inexplicable curiosity that defies all logic.

Prince of Persia (MS-DOS)

This one's such an influential game I figured it'd be better to get around to it sooner rather than later.

I have actually played this one before, but it was years ago and I mostly just ran through the first level for a bit watching the Prince skid around, then I fell onto some spikes and turned it off.
