Lethal Enforcers II: Gunfighters (Genesis/Mega Drive)

This game came out in 1994, which I believe was late in the Mega Drive's lifetime, so it'll probably look quite good.

 Or not.

Digitized actors keep sliding in and yelling abuse at me. Shooting them seems only fair.

PRO TIP: Reload your guns occasionally to ensure optimal shooting. Don't get caught standing out in the open with an empty gun!

Agh, I've been shot! Fortunately I'm a protagonist so I can take multiple shots before I go down. These guys aren't so fortunate. Hey, that background looks like a digitized photo that someone has pixelled bars over.

PRO TIP: Stop being so slow and maybe they'll stop getting a chance to shoot you.

Sometimes innocents will foolishly stick their head out into the open. Of course they look a lot like digitized actors themselves and also yell stuff out, so the temptation to shoot them can be strong.

PRO TIP: Don't kill the innocents, the life you take is your own!

Also your own dudes can run right out into the open too, and start helping you. He looked like a dude in a cowboy outfit though, so I shot him in the ass.

PRO TIP: Seriously, stop killing the innocents! C'mon!

This guy is making clever use of the 'cowboy squat' pose, but it won't save him. A single bullet brings his dreams of being a minor light gun shooter antagonist to a swift and tragic end.

PRO TIP: Only use one bullet per bandit, they go down like lil' bitches.

Wow, this guy just kicked down the door. He must think he's some kind of badass. Let's see if he's more badass than a shot to the head. Ha, now onto the next guy. Damn who's shooting me? Wait, he's still alive?! OH CRAP I THINK HE'S A BOSS...

PRO TIP: Ignore the last tip, that tip was bullshit! Also, don't die in boss fights.

Next game.

  1. This was one of my favorite games to rent back in the day. It's amazong how much better it looks on a CRT. A screen it was designed to be played on.
