Hi...Awesome find. :D I never made that connection.

His profile page has a list of the productions he's been involved with, none of which I'm familiar with. I had a look at the demo Motion: Origin 2 by BOMB, and it has a few non-interactive 3D effects, but ends with a playable first-person exploration scene that is identical to Fears! The predecessor, Origin, has an Armour-Geddon-style 3D scene and ends with a 3D first-person engine that's more Wolfenstein-ish.mecha-nekohttps://www.twitter.com/mecha_neko/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2068112306642079190.post-73726866638576481132020-10-04T02:05:11.827+01:002020-10-04T02:05:11.827+01:00It appears that Bomb Software was essentially a ch...It appears that Bomb Software was essentially a chap called Frederic Heintz, who was a demo coder for the Amiga and latterly PC. Fears has the hallmarks of a game made by a demo coder - it's more a technical demonstration than a game. I imagine the publishers asked him and his mates to add some levels and monsters and release it as a game because Doom was hot back then. Unfortunately the Amiga had a glut of really bad Doom clones so I imagine it got lost in the crowd.

Google suggests he ended up coding Flash applications. He had a website, www.fredheintz.com, now defunct, which is unfortunately impossible to view with the Internet Archive because it's all in Flash.Ashley Pomeroyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09466311744358782337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2068112306642079190.post-1427187632073160842020-09-28T02:55:52.156+01:002020-09-28T02:55:52.156+01:00I didn’t go super deep but a few quick Google sear...I didn’t go super deep but a few quick Google searches got me nothing on BOMB Software. Makes you wonder how many game studios just vanished from the scene back then. Johnny Machttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16368626486835182113noreply@blogger.com
